Chalinze Water Supply (CHALIWASA)
Chalinze Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (CHALIWASA) was officially declared in the Government Notice No. 376 on 30th November 2012 as a fully fledged authority. Initially it was known among the National Water Projects which was initiated by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania in the 1980’s. CHALIWASA was established to take-over responsibilities of Chalinze Water Supply Project (CWSP) and Chalinze Water Users Association (WAMACHA – Jumuiya ya Watumiaji Maji Chalinze). The objective of the Authority is to supply water to communities in various villages of the Chalinze Township, Chalinze District and nearby villages in Bagamoyo, Kibaha and Morogoro Rural Districts.


JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER- 1 Post

APPOINTING AUTHORITY: BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESPONSIBLE TO:          MANAGING DIRECTOR

SUBORDINATES: NIL

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Mode of employment: The Electrical Engineer shall be emplcyed on Contract terms

KEY RESULTS AREAS

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial or domestic purposes.
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
  • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
  • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
  • Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities.
  • Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
  • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Supervising or training project team members.
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
  • Maintaining electrical equipment.
  • Working with a variety of technicians.
  • Performing any other duties as may be required by his/her supervisor

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

Entry Requirements
A holder of a degree electrical engineer from a recognized University, or with at least three years working experience as electrical engineer in the private or public sectors.

Remuneration


Salary According to CWSP GS-E1, but not below existing and current government scale
Fringe benefits: As approved by the board of directors
