As an experienced chef, you have been in the culinary profession for a while, enabling you to assist the kitchen team in their development. In the absence of the Chef, you will assume ultimate responsibility for the kitchen.

You will join a 4-star Hotel-Restaurant located on the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Guests indulge in the hotel's facilities, including its private marina where they can dock their boats. Moreover, you and your colleagues can explore the lakes by renting an electric sloop from the harbor.

Tasks

In this role, you will take charge of the preparation of dishes according to recipes and ensure their impeccable presentation. Supporting the Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining a smoothly functioning kitchen. You will diligently assess product quality, monitor shelf life, and guarantee freshness. Efficiently handling orders and stock checks will be part of your responsibilities.

Your commitment to cleanliness and adherence to HACCP guidelines will ensure a pristine and hygienic kitchen environment. As an inspiring team member, you will contribute to the training of new colleagues, offering guidance and support. You will also play a key role in preparing for the next day's operations, ensuring a seamless workflow.

Your experience and expertise will make you a go-to mentor for young chefs, providing guidance and nurturing their culinary growth. Additionally, you will assist in creating schedules and actively participate in menu development. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills by participating in national cooking competitions, with the possibility of having your dish featured on the menu. Requirements

• As a Sous-Chef you have knowledge of the profession. You pass this on to your colleagues.

• You have experience in a professional kitchen and in managing a team.

• You are eager to learn and enthusiastic and enjoy working together

• You always go for the best result. Quality is important in your work.

• Changing situations or performing under pressure are no problem for you.

• You don't wait, but take action yourself during your work.

• You work flexibly and are available all week. Working in the evenings and weekends is no problem for you.
