All About The Role
Join our global platform and be a part of a talented Product team committed to providing innovative and reliable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We're building a cutting-edge KYC system and seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help us achieve our goals.
As our Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing a scalable and secure technology infrastructure that accurately manages risks and verifies partners. You'll leverage your expertise to write high-quality and clean code that supports our business needs while ensuring it's thoroughly tested with relevant frameworks. With a sharp focus on regulatory compliance, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and operations, to design and implement streamlined KYC systems and processes.
As an analytical and strategic thinker, you'll provide technical leadership and mentorship to Junior team members while staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices. By joining our team, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our product offerings.
As part of this varied role, we’re also counting on you to:
• Support business continuity by working with our current system
• Build scalable solutions - technology must reliably serve our fast growth
• Define immediate to long-term tech strategy for the team, from programming to infrastructure, and execute the strategy
• Integrate the latest third-party KYC technology and blend it with our own
• Help improve development practices in our backend community
• Align and brainstorm with the other crafts (product, designer, front-end, stakeholders) for the best solutions
Can you deliver…
Here’s what we’re looking for from our Senior Java Backend Developer:
• 5+ years' experience as a Java or Kotlin Backend Engineer
• Experience with messaging systems (preferably Kafka or Kinesis)
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID, testing practices (unit, integration, regression)
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS / Google Cloud / Azure), containerization tool Docker, and container orchestration system Kubernetes, as well as knowledge of DevOps practices for collaborative and automated software development
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Sound understanding of third party integration, API Design and development & CI/pipelines
• Sound understanding of Relational databases. NoSQL databases are an added advantage
• Ability and willingness to work on multiple programming languages
• Ability to read and understand PHP & Kotlin code is a plus
