After playing five seasons in the club TP Mazembe player Taifa Stars, Thomas left the world to follow his dream to play in Europe.
The player who was wearing jersey number 28 and was given the nickname 'Rambo' was taken by the club at age 18 from the AFC Academy of Stockholm, Sweden. With TP Mazembe, the Universe has played 130 matches and scoring 35 goals.
When he played for the club many clubs wanted to take him but first he decided to finish his contract with Mazembe. He decided not to renew his contract with TPM again. And now the world wants to follow in the footsteps of fellow Tanzanian Mbwana Samatta of Genk of Belgium.
Before leaving Lubumbashi, the World said in a statement on the club's website, "For five years Mazembe imeniruhusu continue to grow soccer and I want to thank everyone who supported me and help win trophies led by President Katumbi and Mrs Carine, officials and coaches."
